Honoring Our Patriotic Traditions
Daughters of the American Revolution — U.S. Flags

VFW Dept of CT Quartermaster Fundraiser
$150 donated
Our contribution to the Department of Connecticut VFW Quartermaster Fundraiser helped a fellow veteran who lost everything in a house fire. As the state quartermaster he keeps posts like ours resourced and effective in our service to veterans and communities.
These contributions may seem modest in dollar amount, but they carry enormous symbolic weight — affirming our deep respect for American heritage, military tradition, and the ongoing mission of the VFW across Connecticut.
Flags on Every Veteran's Grave
Each year on Memorial Day, members of Avon VFW Post 3272 fan out across every cemetery in Avon to place an American flag on the grave of every veteran — a solemn, hands-on tribute to the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.
On Veterans Day, our volunteers return to respectfully retire and collect each flag. This tradition is one of our most cherished acts of service — a quiet, powerful reminder that no veteran is forgotten in our community.
This annual flag placement program is entirely volunteer-driven. If you'd like to join us on Memorial Day or Veterans Day, reach out to Avon VFW Post 3272 — all are welcome.
